We were able to raise ducks in the farm field. Consequently, the production of eggs and meat was the result of the farming of animals.

What did you do?

We maintain the farm daily activity, feeding and taking care of the animals and the farming skills for the fields and protection of the farm environment. The youth participated in the project gaining the possibilities of an income and learning skills in farming on a small scale and with limited resources.

Interview with young reformers

What is the ongoing reformation you want to see in your church?

I would like to see the youth being active in the church activities and participate in the work and worship from the church.

What has been the reaction of the project among the youth?

Not all the youth have been interested in the project and not everyone has been active in the activity. On the other hand, some youth have become involved and interested in this new activity without any knowledge on farming.

How has been the participation of the youth in the reformation project?

There has been 15 youth and 3 volunteers active in the farming project at our local parish level.

What has been challenging about creating the project?

It is challenging to have the farming project because the youth do not find it interesting. The communication and living distances are also difficult among the youth at my local parish. It was difficult to have all the youth from my parish together and to be the only leader in the project.

Did everything go as planned?

Not everything went as planned, but the main goal of having the farming was achieved. Many youth have not been able to participate in the church activities because they are working and moving away from the village. The ducks in the farming project are more and more, so the plans have worked.

How do you see the continuity of the project?

I would like to continue in this project with the youth that showed interest and the ducks are alive and growing in numbers. So it will be realistic to continue.
