Freed from Darkness
As a Lutheran I am freed from darkness and loneliness
Nice to meet you everyone around the world online,my name is Sini-Maaria Kauppi and I am a Lutheran pastor from Finland.
To me be loved by God means that I am freed from darkness and loneliness. Faith gives me so much joy; it is like a light, a candle light, in the darkness. I feel that the light is especially near in those moments I spend with different people from various backgrounds in our parish and also everywhere I am and we gather together In God´s name. How could I describe it; Faith is like a candle light but with a candle light comes warmth. The warmth in this case is all those people I meet and come together to hear His word and praise Him, also you there online. These moments warm my heart and soul.
I am in other words freed from darkness and loneliness.
I am never alone thanks to God above us all who protects and loves us as who we are and gave His only Son for us, in other words He gave us light. I am also never alone thanks to all the people I have already met and am going to meet as the images of God as long as I work for God and His kingdom.
It is great to be loved as who you are and stay in the light. You can feel it and this is what I also want to spread to all the people I meet not just in Finland but around the world.
Genesis 1:3 “God said, Let there be light!”
And from 1 Thessalonians 5:5: “You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”
