“Reformer. Change makes a difference!” Youth Conference in Dresden,Germany

Peace Academy 2016

On Pentecost weekend, from May, 13th to May, 16th, 2016, – more than 400 young people from all over the world will meet for the 4th Peace Academy in Dresden at the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) to talk, to gain or regain strength and encouragement, to set things in their lives straight or even make a brand new start. The motto “Reformer. Change makes a difference!” will put our world to the test: What is worth changing, what is precious and what is worth preserving? It also refers to the annual theme “Reformation and the One World” of the official decade leading to the Reformation Jubilee in 2017.

Change processes are visible everywhere in the world. Creating a sustainable lifestyle, global climate change and numerous refugee movements are just a few examples in which significant changes can be noticed. Young people ask what they can do as individuals, or in their group; where they can get energy; what is just "hot air” and how it can be avoided.

You're asked, too! Bring your ideas and experiences and participate, e.g. by offering a workshop on an issue of global change processes.
On the website www.peace-academy.de and on the Peace Academy Facebook page the discovery tour has started already: There, we give you information about the latest events surrounding the Peace Academy and its theme. Many photos and a film of the last gathering give you an idea of what to expect: international encounters, exciting workshops, great music and much more.

Practical information:

The Peace Academy is an international youth meeting in an academy style for young people aged 16 to 27 years. In total about 400 people are expected to join the Peace event.

International guests get their tickets for free and pay reduced prizes for accommodation and catering:

Catering: 25 EUR

Accommodation: 35 EUR

Please register the latest until 12th April 2016 to get a place to sleep.

International participants can get a financial support to their travel fees.
